Bullying doesn’t only affect those directly involved; it has a
detrimental effect on the whole school. That’s why the ABA
recommends that bullying be tackled on a whole-school basis. An
effective anti-bullying strategy will involve all members of the
school community, should be regularly monitored, and needs to meet
legal requirements. Information for schools
on anti-bullying strategies and case studies of best practice,
as well as a set of questionnaires for schools to use to assess
bullying and the views and experiences of pupils, can be found
on the ABA Tools for
Schools website.
